{"id":51,"date":"2008-10-23T17:13:08","date_gmt":"2008-10-23T15:13:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/maurice\/?p=51"},"modified":"2011-05-10T22:16:04","modified_gmt":"2011-05-10T20:16:04","slug":"sick-of-experts-exchange-and-content-less-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/maurice\/2008\/10\/23\/sick-of-experts-exchange-and-content-less-sites\/","title":{"rendered":"Sick of experts-exchange and content-less sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These past few months I&#8217;ve been doing a lot of research and with time I was getting more and more annoyed by subscription-only sites (experts-exchange) and catalogs of abstracts (citeseer), they provide me with nothing and clutter up my Google results.<\/p>\n<p>To solve this problem I used <a href=\"http:\/\/www.add-in-express.com\/programming-internet-explorer\/\">Add-in Express for Internet Explorer<\/a>\u00a0to build an add-in for Internet Explorer, which would allow me to hide irrelevant sites. Just for the fun, I extended it to handle all the major search engines, trickier than I initially expected but all good clean fun.<\/p>\n<p>In the spirit of the Internet, I&#8217;ve published it, you can pick up a copy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/affine\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>P.S.
