For financial data that&#8217;s arriving &#8216;fast and furious&#8217;, this is reasonable, but for GeodesiX it makes the interface seem rather slow.<\/p>\n<p>To improve this, GeodesiX changes the Throttle Interval to <del>zero<\/del> one, which tells Excel to call RefreshData <del>as often as possible<\/del> once a second rather than every 5. This is done in GeodesiX.SetRealTime.SetRealTime #34#:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/geodesix\/files\/2011\/04\/throttle.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-334\" title=\"throttle\" src=\"http:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/geodesix\/files\/2011\/04\/throttle.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1159\" height=\"505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/geodesix\/files\/2011\/04\/throttle.jpg 1159w, https:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/geodesix\/files\/2011\/04\/throttle-300x130.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.calvert.ch\/geodesix\/files\/2011\/04\/throttle-1024x446.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1159px) 100vw, 1159px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This works and indeed speeds up the refresh, but you should note that it could cause other RTD applications to update too quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The absolutely correct way would be to put back the throttle interval when GeodesiX terminates.
